I'm no expert on the 26" VS 29" debate but to draw a parallel with skiing it reminds me of when parabolic skis were first introduced 15-20 years ago. At first they looked at as a bit of a curiosity, these days nobody would even think of going back to straight skis, simply because the possibilities offered by parabolic skis for carving and extreme body angle and high speed turns are so much better... So if 29ers are so much better than 26ers then they'll probably just naturally replace them over time....
''Where is it? Perhaps these questions can be answered in Valais, a 2,000-square-mile region in the Pennine Alps on the eastern edge of Lake Geneva, home to one of Europe’s most famous mountains, 12,700-foot Mont Blanc'
So Lake Geneva is home to one of Europe’s most famous mountains, 12,700-foot Mont Blanc???? Well that's news to me because last time I checked Mont Blanc was located between France and Italy and it's just shy of 16,000 Feet... There's one thing that guy is no 'pioneer' in and that's acurate geography. Badly written article and hard to give it any kind of credit.
Having said that, Switzerland does have some amazing places to ride, just don't rely on Canadians to take you there...
Weird, I checked their website and you are right it does not seem to work at the moment. They're pretty much a one-man band and I know that the dude I dealt with at Brake Therapy has been through a bit of a rough patch recently so maybe they've just suspended operatins for a while. Best if you wait for a bit until the website is back on or just contact them directly with your enquiry. I'm happy with the product, I've got no brake jack on the bike, it does the trick.
I got it made by Brake Therapy. RM supposedly have a floating break kit for the flatline but despite my best attempts I could never get hold of one through them so in the end resorted to get one made by Brake Therapy (who were really helpful and a pleasure to deal with, couldn't say that much of RM unfortunately...). Took some time to get it right but it works really well. I've done all the leg work and I think Brake Therapy now sell it directly through their website so go ahead and treat yourself to one... One thing though: my frame is a size S so larger frames might need a slightly longer rod also you might need new torque bolts for your rotor as it's a failry tight fit. About Us
